Auditel has expanded its talent pool with 25 new franchisee Partners joining the Auditel Business Community in 2024, helping the Procurement and Carbon Consultancy network expand to over 120 franchised businesses.
Auditel Commercial Director Nick Tubb, who manages the franchise recruitment operation is delighted at the continued expansion, and explains why Auditel is so popular. “There is a combination of factors, and stacked together they ensure Auditel presents an extremely attractive proposition to those seeking a successful route into self-employment.
If you look at what makes a great business opportunity, key requirements include: growing demand, proof of success, long-term opportunities, services driven by legislation or regulation, having a meaningful and ethical purpose, and great financial potential. Auditel ticks all these boxes and more” he explains.
Nick continues “Auditel have a great head office team, with well over 200 years of franchise industry experience between them. The co-owners and Directors have ‘hands on’ roles in the key support roles of marketing and sales training which ensures that new Franchise Partners have a great resource behind them.”
Carbon is or soon to be on the agenda of all organisations, large and small. It’s a complex and rapidly evolving sector, so getting enough knowledge to undertake what is required, and then keeping track of all the new developments is a significant challenge for these businesses. They need specialist support so the market opportunity is clear to see.
“If you do a head count of Auditel’s franchisees, employees within franchisee’s businesses, and head office staff, there’s a collective of around 200 people all working together and sharing information with different areas of expertise and knowledge. Even with our large resource it’s challenging to keep on top of everything that’s happening in this fast-paced carbon world so its understandable to see why its so overwhelming for an employee, or small team to try and do so within any organisation, and this create opportunities for Auditel Partners to help these clients.” Says Nick.
He adds “It’s great seeing so many of the new Partners getting up and running so quickly, and others who are perhaps two years or so in are reaching business maturity and reaping the full range of benefits already. Its fast-moving, exciting, and best of all, the commercial successes being achieved are all a result of delivering projects that help fight against climate change.”
Auditel has seen a number of its new Partners set new heights for speed of securing first clients and initial income streams. One new Partner for example, secured 4 clients worth over £70,000 per year in fees alone, within their first six months of business including the six-week induction training period.
Nick advises the importance of planning cautiously however “Like any new business, it takes time to become established. There are many factors that affect which clients and projects any one franchisee may secure and several of these factors are largely out of your own control. For this reason, we look carefully at each individual’s personal circumstances and ensure they have a business plan that ensures they can finance themselves properly through the first year, so they can focus on their business.
He adds “The banks are really keen to support new Auditel franchise businesses and can provide up to 70% of the total start-up cost, which can include funding for supporting personal cost of living as well as business expenditure.”
One of the new Auditel Partners, David Parker, says “I joined Auditel in summer 2024 and am already building my client base with a strong pipeline. Its great to be involved in such an important industry and supporting clients on their Net Zero journey is both interesting and rewarding.
There is lots of support from the Auditel network and I am excited about my long-term potential and opportunities!”
Guy Longmore, who trained in August, has enjoyed a good start to his Auditel venture. He comments: “I have just picked up (in December) my fourth client. It’s still early days of course, but I’m ahead of the expectations I set myself back in the summer. I have very much enjoyed getting out and seeing people, and the networking events and shows I’ve attended have proved great for learning and have brought me one or two clients.
The world of carbon work sits very comfortably with me – I’m learning every day, enjoying the work, and am more determined than ever about making a positive difference to business and the planet.”
Considering an Auditel franchise Partner may have a fully established business with only around eight to fifteen clients, Auditel works with around 1200 clients and has a potential marketplace of around 300,000, so the potential for expansion remains huge.
Nick reflects on the incredible opportunities on offer for people coming into the business now and throughout next year “We do need to keep growing for all the reasons outlined, but we ensure the balance of training and support is there for each individual that joins Auditel as a new ‘Member Firm’/Partner. We are expanding our support and training resources again for 2025 and limit training places to eight seats on any one induction programme. Ultimately, Auditel is investing in the success of each franchisee’s business, so it’s a win-win for both parties, but this really is the perfect time to join Auditel.”
